CALL FOR POSTERS

HPDC'15, The 15th IEEE International Symposium on High Performance Distributed Computing June 19-23 2006, Paris, France

The Fifteenth IEEE International Symposium on High-Performance Distributed Computing (HPDC) will be a forum for presenting the latest research findings on the design and use of parallel and distributed systems for high end computing, collaboration, data analysis, and other innovative applications.

The HPDC Posters provide an excellent forum for authors to present their work in an informal and interactive setting. Posters are ideal for presenting speculative, late-breaking results or for giving an introduction to interesting, innovative work. Posters are intended to provide authors and participants with the ability to connect with each other and to engage in discussions about the work. Posters are being solicited in areas including but not limited to:

  • Grid middleware
  • Service architectures
  • Resource management, scheduling and load-balancing
  • Data Management and Transport
  • Virtualization for HPDC systems
  • HPDC applications
  • Parallel and distributed algorithms
  • Software environments, programming frameworks and language/compiler support
  • Workflow management
  • High performance I/O and file systems
  • Performance modeling, simulation, and prediction
  • Fault tolerance, reliability and availability for HPDC applications
  • Software/hardware/architecture for high end communications and networking
  • Security, configuration, policy, and management issues
  • Operating system technologies for high performance computing
  • Multimedia, teleimmersive, and collaborative applications
  • Terabit networks systems and services

Successful posters are carefully designed to convey technical details. They should also attract the attention of attendees as they stroll past the displays. The goal is to develop a poster that encourages and facilitates small groups of individuals interested in a technical area to gather and interact. Posters will be peer-reviewed by the Poster Committee.

A submission must include an abstract of at most two pages. Including a rough sketch of the poster is recommended. Also include the URL of a web site related to the poster, if applicable. Posters should be submitted electronically (PDF or postscript) via email at tixeuil@lri.fr (please use 'HPDC' and 'Poster' in the subject field to avoid spam filtering).

Authors of accepted submissions must provide a two page summary for publication in the conference proceedings (This summary must use IEEE 8 1/2 x 11 CS format. Appropriate style files can be found at: ftp://pubftp.computer.org/Press/Outgoing/proceedings/). This brings the subject to an even larger audience. These summaries are held in the highest confidence prior to publication in the conference proceedings. By agreeing to present your poster at HPDC 2006, you also give permission to the HPDC 2006 conference organizers to publish the poster and summary on the HPDC web sites.
