Covid-related Information:
We are hopeful that we could meet there in person this Spring. The conference is NOT organized as a hybrid event, thus participation means travelling to Nicosia. However, if the sanitary conditions are such that travels are suspended and events cannot be held, the conference will be turned into an online event.

Travelling to Cyprus:
Due to the geopolitical situation on the island, citizens of any country, whether or not they need a visa to travel to Cyprus, are advised by Cyprus MFA that "The legal points of entry to the Republic of Cyprus are the intenational airports of Larnaca and Paphos and the ports of Larnaca, Limassol, Latsi and Paphos, which are situated in the area under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus" (see its visa information page).
Among both legally recognized Cyprus airports, Larnaca international airport is the closest to Nicosia (40 minutes by car, taxi or bus), while it takes 2 hours from/to Paphos international aiport.

GIG-ARTS 2022 will be held at Frederick University, Nicosia Campus, situated in the Pallouriotissa area, just two kilometers from the city center.

Shuttle and other buses:
There is an airport shuttle bus operated by Kapnos Travel, but it does not reach Nicosia city center, so, from the shuttle drop off point in Nicosia, one needs to either take a taxi or another bus to the hotel). Links to the shuttle bus service and bus services in general below:

Taxi:
Another option for ground transportation from/to Larnaca airport is to take or share a taxi. Indicative cost of taxi rides from Larnaca airport to Nicosia City Center are:
- Up to 3 people: €50
- Up to 5 people: €65
- Mini bus up to 8 people: €85
Hotels:
Below are hotels centrally located in Nicosia (except Semeli hotel), and within walking distance of the conference venue (some 30 minutes walk, or via bus, taxi or bicycle).
